Last night was the first of many site leader meetings I’ll be attending for Mizzou Alternative Breaks. I was excited about the meeting because I knew I’d be meeting my co-site leader, who I will spend many a day with planning our trip, selecting our participants, and doing service in the field of women’s advocacy. But the meeting was especially cool because we nearly filled up an auditorium with people who had decided to be leaders on our campus and make a difference through this organization we’re in.

I met my co-site leader at the end, and it turns out that we’re already somewhat acquainted. She works for the RSVP Center as well, and we’ll both be participating in the MU Wellness Skits this summer. We’re going to be spending a lot of time together between now and spring break, and I can’t wait to start planning our service trip. Hopefully many good times are ahead.
