I’ve flown a lot. I’ve flown to London and Atlanta and Chicago and China. But never by myself. In a couple weeks, I’m going to be flying from St. Louis to New York City. All alone. And I wouldn’t say that I’m scared, but I am nervous. Am I going to park in the right lot? What if I can’t find my gate? What if I get there early and sit for two hours and realize at the last minute that I’m in the wrong place and my plane has taken off without me?? These are things that can happen when you’re not with another person, right?
However, assuming everything goes swimmingly, I’m really excited. My final destination is my favorite place in the world, Spofford, New Hampshire. I’m flying into NYC to meet my cute boyfriend and do a couple New York things, and the next day, we’re taking a train from Penn Station to Brattleboro, Vermont, which is like a half hour from Spofford. It’s going to be so great! I’ve never been to Penn Station, I’ve never gone on a long train ride, and I’ve never shown anyone New Hampshire before. I can’t wait.
